Guilherme Luz Tortorella has a PhD in Production Engineering and is a Senior Lecturer in Industrial Engineering at the University of Melbourne. With twelve years of experience as a Manufacturing Manager in the automotive industry, and seven years as a Professor and Consultant, he has worked in Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, Australia, the USA and UK, He is the author of more than 160 research articles published in peer-reviewed and high-impact journals, 15 book chapters and 3 books. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Lean Systems and an Associate Editor of the journals Operations Research Management and Production.
