Agronomist and Master of Science in Agricultural Sciences (University of Moscow). Master in environmental management (Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal). Specialist in Rural Development (Center of Regional Studies Bartolomé Herrera). Specialist in applied statistics (Pontifical Catholic University of Peru). Principal Professor of the National University Agraria La Molina and assistant professor of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He teaches at the post-graduate level in various universities in the country.

He has directed the Formulation of the Public Investment Project "Improvement of the Quality of Higher Education in Peru", financed with the World Bank and the National Government. He is the author of several books and articles. He developed several investigations in the area of agro-industry and food systems, environmental economics, eco-efficiency and environmental impact assessment. He received the award for the best research of the year 2007 and 2015, awarded by the National University Federico Villarreal.
